1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using HazelTab, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
HazelTab provides a proposal management and invoicing platform for freelancers and small businesses. The service includes proposal creation, electronic signature collection, invoice generation, and payment tracking.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One person or entity per account. Account sharing is not permitted.
4. Subscription & Billing
HazelTab offers a paid subscription plan. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Recurring monthly billing at the displayed rate via Stripe.
- You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We do not offer refunds for partial months.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
5. Electronic Signatures
HazelTab provides electronic signature functionality. By using this feature:
- You acknowledge that electronic signatures created through HazelTab are intended to be legally binding under applicable electronic signature laws, including the U.S. ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. § 7001), the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), the EU eIDAS Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 910/2014), and equivalent legislation in other jurisdictions.
- You are responsible for ensuring that electronic signatures are appropriate for your specific use case and jurisdiction. Not all document types are eligible for electronic signatures under all laws.
- HazelTab maintains audit trails including signer identity, timestamp, IP address, and document hash for each signature.
- HazelTab is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Consult a legal professional for specific enforceability questions.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create on HazelTab (proposals, invoices, client data). You grant HazelTab a limited license to store and transmit this content solely for providing the service.
You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
7. Prohibited Uses
- Using the service for illegal activities
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts
- Sending spam, phishing, or malicious content through the service
- Reverse engineering or attempting to extract source code
- Using automated tools to scrape or abuse the service
8. Limitation of Liability
HazelTab is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for the enforceability of electronic signatures in your jurisdiction.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Hong Kong.
11. Dispute Resolution
Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at support@hazeltab.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days. If the dispute is not resolved within that period, either party may pursue formal proceedings as described above.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
